The El Pollos were a vocal group from Cleveland. The group was Robert Manley, Robert Chalmers, George Scott, Tommy Hobbs, and Phillip "Frenchy" Dorroh. Dorroh played guitar and sang. Their first 45 was recorded locally while the second was produced in New York. George Scott and Phillip Dorroh were founding members of the Hesitations. Scott was accidentally shot and killed by group member Leonard Veal in December 1967.
