Sheila Landis is an award winning vocalist and has been one of the Detroit jazz scene's best kept secrets. She has been performing her unique amalgam of jazz, Brazilian music and blues since 1973. Her third self-released album, Bebop Angel, puts Landis' vocal prowess on full display. Spanning jazz-scat to sweet soul, "Bebop Angel" captures the earnestness and youthful enthusiasm that defined her work as she began to make her mark and become a Detroit jazz staple in the early 80s.
